An American Girl

Ever since I was a little girl, I was obsessed with all things American Girl. Felicity and Kirsten were always my most favorites and I dreamed of someday owning both of them (I eventually owned Kirsten). I had all the books, watched the movies and when the catalogs arrived, I would pour over the pages for hours upon hours and dream of all the cute things, circling items I loved and even making scrapbooks by cutting up old AG magazines and catalogs. Yep, I was all about American Girl, and if you ask me now, though I (might) not be (as) obsessed as I was then, I still love American Girl and still can't get over all of the cute dolls and accessories.

Funny thing is, now that I'm a mom and have a little girl of my own who also loves dolls... Guess what? She's becoming just as obsessed as I was way back then! I kinda of think it's the most adorable thing ever and I can't wait to see which character becomes her favorite over the years. We'll get on the American Girl website and she'll be nothing but oohs and ahhs and squeals and giggles for an hour, she just loves looking at all of the dolls and accessories and dreaming of which ones she'd love to have. Recently we were on the AG website and I spotted the Truly Me dolls, and when I got to the Truly Me #33 doll, I couldn't get over the resemblance of the doll to Bella. Long light colored curly hair, blue-green eyes... and for Bella it was love at first sight.

So I was beyond excited that we were able to give Bella that exact doll that she fell so in love with for her birthday yesterday! You should have seen her eyes light up when she ripped the wrapping paper off, oh the happiness! She immediately named her new doll "Lovie" and she's gone everywhere with us for the past (almost) week. She plays with her constantly and refers to her as new friend "Lovie", it's just the cutest thing ever.

I just love the smile that this doll brought to my girl's face and I have a feeling she and her doll will be inseparable for a long time, after all, it's not every day you make a new friend, especially one that looks like you! The Truly Me dolls come with a super cute outfit and if you purchase the accessories, you'll also get a lavender sweater with a glittery star graphic and light blue jersey leggings with embroidery at the ankle, a glittery zigzag headband, a wristlet with pockets, a pretend cell phone (with 2 double-sided phone screens that slide into the phone), a flexible phone case with hand strap, a pretend library card, a pretend doll-sized American Girl gift card and 5 pretend dollar bills! So much doll sized cuteness and your child will love it all!

Every little girl needs a little doll friend and with a doll to match every skin tone, every eye color, every hair color (or even no hair) and more, American Girl is the perfect place to head to make all those wishes come true! American Girl even offers completely customized dolls now with the "create your own" doll, and don't forget about all of the historical dolls and the dolls of the year! So many sweet dolls to choose from and you're sure to find the perfect one! There's still time to order for dolls (or accessories) for Christmas gifts, on orders of $50+, use code LASTSHIP while checking out now through December 15th! Merry Christmas friends!
